The Z Club and Golden Z Club program was established in 1948 and is one of Zonta International's longest-running programs. Through Z clubs and Golden Z clubs high school, college and university students develop leadership skills, explore career opportunities and participate in community, school and international service projects.
Experienced Zonta sponsors provide resources, information and guidance to Z club members (high school students) and Golden Z club members (college or university students) who work to improve their society and the world. Z club and Golden Z club members plan, organize and participate in unique activities designed to meet the needs of members, their schools and the community, while emphasizing an international outlook and strong international relations. Zonta Corvallis sponsored two clubs for high school students and one club for university students and is always open to reestablishing all of the clubs. The two high school clubs, called Z Clubs, were at Crescent Valley High School and Corvallis High School. The university club, called Golden Z, was at Oregon State University.
