Who We Are
Established in 1940 with 17 members , the Zonta Club of Corvallis is now well established and active club with almost 70 current members! We are professional women and men from a diverse age range that come from all parts of the Corvallis, Oregon area. While our membership has recently enjoyed a large jump in interest by new and young women and men, we also benefit from the invaluable expertise and knowledge of our numerous long time members.
Our membership includes celebrated pioneers, who have worked tirelessly for many decades towards the betterment of women. They have made significant gains and progress in equality issues, policies and legislation such as the implementation of Title IX. Our club benefits from the knowledge, wisdom and experience of our many long time members who have lead and worked tirelessly within our club for 20, 30, and even 60 years!

The Zonta Club of Corvallis is a member of Zonta International, a worldwide service organization, dedicated to improving the status of women through service and advocacy. International membership currently includes over 29,000 members in 63 countries.
Service: We are passionate about serving the local community. We do so by supporting local organizations who empower women and girls with funding from our community grants organization. We sponsor local Z clubs at both Corvallis high schools and one for university students. Each year through our Rose Day program, we recognize local individuals and organizations that have made a significant contribution in the efforts to empower women or to provide leadership in addressing community social issues.
Advocacy: The Zonta Club of Corvallis advocates at the local level on issues related to human rights and gender equality. We do this in a variety of ways such as participating in local hearings and public meetings, hosting speakers and panels to raise awareness about issues affecting women.
Education: To fulfill our mission of empowering women, the Zonta Club of Corvallis supports educational opportunities for women, especially those pursuing a career in a traditionally male-dominated field. We offer a variety of scholarship opportunities.
