Downtown Diners

Downtown Diners is our evening dinner group. It’s a fun way to become better acquainted with fellow Zontians outside of the normal meetings. It does not meet every month and location is different each time, allowing us to explore the many great eateries of Downtown Corvallis. This dinner requires an RSVP to make sure we have reservations for all who want to join in the fun. so that a reservation can be made.

Golden Z Club at OSU hosted Candlelight Vigil January 11, 2013 as part of National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.

January 11, 2013 was National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. A resolution passed by the U.S. Senate in 2007 marked this date as a day of awareness and vigilance for victims of Human Trafficking worldwide. In recent years, the issue has gained new awareness and become the focus of some new legislation in the United States, as well as three new State trafficking bills passed just in this last Oregon session.

The Golden Z held their third candlelight vigil to raise awareness of human trafficking on January 11. With a press release in the Gazette Times and LAA Committee announcements, the Golden Zs were joined by more Zontians, Soroptomists, AAUW, as well as concerned members of the Corvallis community.
